The Journey Will Always Find You

We've been taught to delay, settle, put-off, ignore or try and escape The Journey, because The Journey disrupts business-as-usual. But The Journey always finds us. And thank goodness for that. Sometimes, we might ask The Journey to kindly give us more time. We're allowed to find a little Inn from time to time, and get off the open road for a spell. But the Journey always finds us.
It's so loyal like that. It's like the best Wild Dog in the world— untamable, yet capable of tracking what we long for most long and sticking by our side, come what may. The Journey's howl can be blood-curdling, but we kind of like it. We know we're livin' when we hear & heed that Wild Dog’s howl. That particular howl is how we know it's ℴ𝓊𝓇 Wild Dog, ℴ𝓊𝓇 Journey calling.
That old wolf, our Journey, is always sniffing out Danger ahead— Not to avoid it, but to wholeheartedly pursue it. We have no idea what it's after, but once we've decided that we belong together, we have no choice except to run with the beast.
The Journey loves us unconditionally, and will never stop seeking our scent. Only if we’ve utterly starved it will it stop its pursuit, for it, too, needs food to live. But as soon as we wave some tasty bacon out the back door and call it by its name, The Journey comes running back again.
The Journey knows the way. The Way knows The Way, as the Old Ones say. So be sure to feed that old dog. Be sure to speak to that kind of wildness directly, firmly and lovingly— lest it sneak up and take a bite outta ya.
