The Good Medicine of Creative Blocks

Untitled design (22).png

Imagine that you're driving down a beautiful, full-mooned, pink-blossomed mountain road~The day is perfect for driving along your Soul-path.⁣

Then suddenly out of nowhere, you come upon a sizable branch in the road. You swerve around it with ease, if a bit startled. You’re shown your present-centeredness, your sharp instincts, your agile response-ability. It's affirming!⁣

Then, a little ways down the road, you come upon much larger branch. You’ll have to stop, but you’re up to the challenge. You get out of the car and survey the angles of the blockage. It’s heavy, but you move it. Perhaps you’re lucky and someone comes along and helps you. You’re on your way again! And you’re feeling pretty good about yourself; you’re strong. You’re capable! Plus, it was lovely to stop and take in the view.⁣

Then the road begins to steepen; you admit feeling dizzied by all the zig-zags. Just as you’re thinking of pulling over for a rest, you come to a huge felled-tree. There's no way around this one. And there's no chain-saw savior coming to hack away at it (this is a good thing). You realize that this time, you’re going to have to abandon your car~ empty out this vessel that’s carried you so far for so long, grab what can yet be of use, and say goodbye. Proceed on foot up the mountain, with no map and scant supplies. The fear is palpable~ but so is the excitement, the wild becoming, the undeniable feeling of kinship with your surroundings... ⁣

Which of these scenarios speaks to you most today and Why?
